Apple pear chutney recipe details
Ingredients
500 g | apples, Golden Delicious, peeled, cored, cubed |
500 g | pears, peeled, cored, cubed |
1 medium | red onion, chopped |
1 piece(s) | fresh ginger, grated |
60 g | sugar |
60 ml | white vinegar |
2 tbsp | vegetable oil |
Instructions
In a saucepan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the pears, apples, onion, and ginger. Sauté until the mixture starts to soften, about 10 minutes, stirring regularly.Add the sugar and vinegar and stir to combine well. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 50 minutes, until the mixture is soft and thick.
Set aside to cool. Cool fully before serving.
