Apple maple turnover recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 medium-sized apples, thinly sliced
- 1 package refrigerated crescent rolls
Melt butter or margarine in a 10-inch pie plate in oven, while oven is still heating. Stir in maple syrup and brown sugar until well blended. Arrange apple slices in overlapping rings in syrup. Separate crescent rolls into triangles and arrange overlapping triangles in pie plate over apples. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees Fahrenheit) 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pie plate on wire rack 5 minutes. Loosen rolls from side of plate with a knife. Invert plate onto pie plate. Top with whipped cream.
