Ingredients
Serves: 8- 2 baking apples (sliced, not peeled)
- 1/3 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 fresh cooked yams or 2 cans cooked yams
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
Preparation method
Prep: 30 mins | Cook: 33 mins1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Toss apples and nuts with sugar and cinnamon.
3. Alternate layers of yams and apples in a baking dish. Dot with butter and sprinkle with brown sugar.
4. Bake in covered dish for 30 – 40 minutes.
5. Cover with marshmallows and put back under broiler until golden brown. Watch very closely or they will burn.
