Apple blackberry crumble recipe details
Ingredients
900 g | apples, peeled |
300 g | blackberries |
55 g | light muscovada sugar |
1 tsp | cinnamon |
85 g | self – raising flour |
85 g | plain wholemeal flour |
115 g | butter |
55 g | Demerara sugar |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200 C.Peel and core the apples and cut into chunks. Place in a bowl with the blackberries, sugar and cinnamon and mix together. Transfer the mixture to an oven proof dish.
For the crumble: sift the self-raising flour into a bowl and stir in the wholemeal flour. Add the butter and rub in with your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar.
Spread the crumble over the fruit and bake in the preheated oven for about 40 – 45 minutes.
Serving suggestion:use custard or cream to serve
