Amy's taco salad recipe details
This is the taco salad that I grew up with. It has always been a crowd pleaser and is very easy to make!

Ingredients
Makes: 6 servings- 1 pound ground beef, turkey or venison
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 (1 ounce) packet taco seasoning
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, shredded
- 2 tomatoes, cubed
- 1 (14 ounce) can kidney beans, drained (optional)
- 1 (6.5 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained (optional)
- 1/2 (12 ounce) bottle French salad dressing
- 1 (11.5 ounce) bag nacho cheese-flavored chips, crushed
- 2 cups shredded taco mix cheese
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 15 mins1. Brown ground beef in a skillet over high heat. Drain any excess fat, then stir in onion and taco seasoning. Reduce heat to medium, and cook until the onion is tender. Set aside to cool.
2. When ready to serve, toss the beef mixture, lettuce, tomatoes, beans, and olives together with the dressing until evenly coated. Toss with the crumbled chips immediately before serving. Sprinkle with shredded cheese to serve.
