Amish Sour Cream Apple Pie recipe
- Ingredients
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 Tablespoons flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2-1/2 cups diced, peeled apples (Granny Smiths or Macs or your favorite; pears can be substituted)
- 1 unbaked pie shell
- Crumb Topping
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions:
Beat sour cream and egg; add flour, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Stir in apples. Pour mixture into pie shell. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove pie from oven. Spread with topping that has been mixed until crumbly. Bake 20 minutes.
