Almond crusted tilapia recipe details
Ingredients1. Tilapia fillets (8)
2. ground almonds (1c)
3. eggs (2)
4. lemon pepper (1tsp)
5. butter (6tbsp)
6. freshly grated parmesan cheese (1c)
7. all purpose flour for dusting (1/4tsp)
8. lemon wedges (8)
9. sprigs parsley (8)
10. garlic pepper (1tsp)
11. salt (to taste)
Method of preparation
1. First break the eggs in a bowl, beat them with the garlic pepper and lemon pepper until get blended and then keep it aside.
2. Take a shallow dish, mix together the ground almonds with 1 cup of Parmesan cheese in it until get combined and then keep it aside. Dust the flour over the tilapia fillets. Dip the dusted fillets in beaten eggs and then press into the almond mixture.
3. Take a large frying pan, melt butter in it over medium high heat. Cook the Tilapia in melted butter until it gets golden brown on both sides for about 2 to 3 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium and season the fillets with salt. Sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese over the tilapia fillets.
4. Cover the pan and keep on cooking until the Parmesan cheese gets melted or for about 5 minutes. Now place the Tilapia fillets in a serving dish and garnish it with parsley sprigs and lemon wedges and then serve it.
