Ingredients

125 g butter
180 g sugar
1 medium egg
½  lemon, zested
200 g oats
½ pack(s) baking powder
20  almonds
flour

Instructions

Melt the butter. Stir in the sugar, lemon zest and the egg. Sprinkle with the oats and the baking powder. Knead until well combined. Roll out the dough onto a floured surface. Form a roll. Cool for 30 minutes.

Cook the almonds in water. Drain, peel and half the almonds. Slice the roll.

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Arrange the slices onto a lined baking tray and top with almond halves. Bake for 10-15 minutes.
