Ingredients

100 g Gruyere cheese, in slices
800 g potatoes, peeled and sliced
salt and freshly ground black pepper
250 g single cream
butter
freshly grated nutmeg

Instructions

Layer the potato slices into a buttered casserole dish and layer in between every now and then a slice of the cheese until all is well distributed. Season the cream with salt and pepper and pour the cream over the potatoes.

Bake in the preheated oven at 150°C for approximately 1 hour.

Serve with fresh green salad.
