Marinated spiced olives recipe details
Ingredients
200 g | black olives, pitted |
200 g | green olives, pimento stuffed |
3 slice(s) | lemon |
3 | dried red chili peppers |
2 clove(s) | garlic, crushed |
1 tbsp | mustard seeds |
1 tbsp | black peppercorns |
3 | allspice berries |
extra virgin olive oil |
Instructions
Drain any brine from the olives and put the olives into a bowl. Add the lemon slices, chilies, garlic, mustard seeds, peppercorns and allspice berries. Add olive oil until all is covered. Spoon the mixture into a large jar with a tight-fitting lid. Screw on the lid tightly and turn the jar over several times to ensure the ingredients are well mixed.Let the olives marinate at least for 1 week before serving. Turn over the jar several times a day. Store up to 6 months on a cool place.
