Yield – 2 servingsIngredients:
1 cup milk (can also be almond milk)
quarter cup dry vanilla cake mix, any brand
4-oz. white chocolate, broken into chunks
1 tsp. vanilla extract
rainbow sprinkles
Directions:
Bring milk to simmering in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat.
Whisk in cake mix until completely dissolved.
Add the chocolate and stir continuously until melted.
Make sure you keep stirring so it doesn’t burn.
Turn off heat and stir in vanilla.
Transfer to two mugs and top with sprinkles.
Enjoy.
Tips:
- Sprinkles are essential; they bring a burst of color, signaling that this is no ordinary white hot chocolate.
- Curious about the flavor of homemade White Hot Chocolate? Picture the taste of Dunkin Donuts’ white hot chocolate, but elevated. For a twist, consider using chocolate cake mix and milk chocolate instead.
- This concoction is wonderfully thick and decadent, making the servings more substantial than you might anticipate.
