Ingredients

1 medium	egg
115 g	flour
230 ml	milk
1 tsp	sugar
	strawberry jam
4 slice(s)	white bread
1 pinch(es)	salt

Instructions

For batter beat the egg in a bowl, stir in flour and enough milk to make a smooth paste. Add remaining milk, sugar and salt and beat well.

Spread each slice of bread with strawberry jam, then sandwich together.

Cut each sandwich into 4 pieces and dunk each piece into the batter mix. Then fry in a frying pan until the batter is crisp and golden.
