Whiskey chruscik recipe details
Ingredients
60 g | soft butter |
100 g | caster sugar |
3 | eggs |
3 | egg yolks |
½ tsp | salt |
2 ½ tbsp | whiskey |
1 tsp | vanilla extract |
350 g | plain flour |
oil | |
icing sugar |
Instructions
Cream together the butter and the sugar. Whisk in the eggs and the egg yolks, the Whiskey, salt and the vanilla extract. Sift in the flour. Knead until the dough is smooth and pliable. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.Thinly roll out the dough. Cut the dough into small rectangles. Grasping each end of a dough strip, give it two twists to form a bow tie shape.
In a chip pan heat the oil to 190°C. Add the biscuits and deep-fry until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper.
Serve dusted with icing sugar.
