Vegetarian pasta sauce recipe details
Ingredients
500 g tomatoes, chopped |
half carrot, sliced |
1 onion, chopped |
20 g celery, chopped |
10 g parsley, chopped |
2 clove(s) garlic, chopped |
10 g basil, chopped |
4 tbsp olive oil |
1 red bell pepper, diced |
salt and pepper |
sugar |
300 grams of pasta (can be any kind, spaghetti works best) |
Instructions
In a saucepan, heat the olive oil. Add all the vegetables, but not yet the herbs. Cover and simmer over low heat for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Puree the mixture until smooth. Stir in the parsley and basil. Season to taste with salt, pepper and sugar.
