Tutti frutti ice cream recipe details
Ingredients
150 ml | double cream |
1 large can(s) | ready-made custard, about 425-450ml |
30 g | glacé cherries, chopped |
20 g | candied angelica, chopped |
20 g | candied peaches or apricots, chopped |
20 g | candied peel, chopped |
20 g | candied melon or pineapple, chopped |
20 g | seedless raisins OR |
20 g | muscatels, chopped |
Instructions
Whisk the cream until just thickened. Stir in the custard and mix thoroughly. Freeze in an ice cream maker according to instructions of turn in to a container and freeze for about an hour or until just solidifying.Whisk for about 2-3 minutes and return to freezer for about another 30 minutes. Repeat these procedures twice more at 30 minute intervals.
Stir in the fruit and mix until well distributed. Return the mixture to the container and freeze for 2 hours or longer, until solid.
Remove from freezer about 30 minutes before serving and place in refrigerator to soften.
Serve in glass ice cream bowl or glass with one or two fan wafers per serving.
