Tuna skewers with mayonnaise dip recipe details
Ingredients
2 large can(s) | tuna, drained and mashed |
1 | onion, chopped |
salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
1 | egg |
1 | egg yolks |
50 g | breadcrumbs |
3 tbsp | breadcrumbs |
3 sprig(s) | parsley |
50 g | pickled pearl onions |
150 g | cherry tomatoes |
3 tbsp | oil |
100 g | mayonnaise |
150 g | small gherkins |
75 g | sweet and sour Asia sauce |
Instructions
In a bowl combine the tuna and the onions. Beat in the egg and the egg yolk. Stir in 50 g of the breadcrumbs and knead until well combined. Season with salt and pepper. Form 20 small balls. Roll the balls in the remaining breadcrumbs.In a pan heat the oil. Fry the balls all around for 4-5 minutes.
Mix together the mayonnaise and the Asia sauce.
Spike the tuna balls, pearl onions, parsley, tomatoes and the gherkins onto skewers. Serve with the sauce and fresh baguette or toast.
