Tomato basil pasta sauce recipe details
Ingredients
1 handful | fresh basil, chopped |
1 tbsp | dried oregano |
400 ml | canned tomatoes with juice |
150 g | mushrooms, sliced |
1 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
olive oil | |
salt and pepper, to taste | |
1 pinch(es) | sugar. to taste |
Instructions
Heat oil in a saucepan and sauté mushrooms with the garlic, about 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes, basil and oregano, cover and cook for about 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.Add tomato sauce and a bit of salt. Stir well. Add a bit of sugar to taste and stir.
Remove from heat but keep covered and hot until pasta is cooked. Add cooked pasta to the sauce and stir until coated. Serve.
