Tilapia scaloppine recipe details
Ingredients1. Tilapia fillets (1pound)
2. butter (2tbsp)
3. extra virgin olive oil (2tbsp)
4. minced garlic (1tbsp)
5. sliced fresh button mushrooms (1/2c)
6. drained capers (2tbsp)
7. lemon juice (1lemon)
8. white wine (1/2c)
9. salt and ground black pepper (to taste)
Method of preparation
1. Take a frying pan, heat olive oil with butter in it over medium heat. Add garlic in it and then place the fish fillets in the pan. Sprinkle the salt and pepper over the fish fillets and cook them for about 90 seconds.
2. Now turn the fish, season it with salt and pepper and again cook it for about 90 seconds. Now add the mushrooms, wine and capers in the pan.
3. Cover the pan with a lid, reduce the heat to low and keep the fish to simmer until the fish flakes easily with a fork and the wine gets reduced to half for about 6 to 7 minutes. Now remove the cover from the pan, add lemon juice in the pan and again cook for about 1 minute.
