The arbor's spider corn bread recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1 heaping Tablespoon butter
- 3/4 cup cornmeal
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 cup sour milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sweet milk
- 1/2 cup additional sweet milk
Put butter in 8-inch iron black spider skillet and set in 350-degree oven to melt.
Sift together dry ingredients and add sour milk, egg, and 1/2 cup sweet milk. Add the melted butter from skillet. Mix well and pour back into skillet. Bake about 10 minutes. Add the additional 1/2 cup milk. Do not mix in. Bake an additional 30 minutes.
