sweet loaf recipe details
Ingredients
450 g | flour |
300 ml | milk |
230 g | sugar |
230 g | currants |
230 g | raisins |
170 g | butter |
30 g | candied peel, chopped |
1 tsp | nutmeg |
¼ tsp | allspice |
½ tsp | bicarbonite of soda |
50 ml | vinegar |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 150°CCombine butter and flour in a bowl. Add sugar and dried fruits, spices and bicarbonate of soda. Stir in the milk and vinegar. Mix well.
Pour batter into a greased baking tin and bake for about 80 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack.
