susan's corn chowder recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped carrots
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 2 links sausage (sliced and cut in half)
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 1-1/2 cups frozen corn
- 1 can creamed corn
- 1 can chicken broth
- 1 can cream of chicken or corn soup
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheese (some reserved for garnish)
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper
Saute vegetables and sausage in butter about 10 minutes. Add corn. Add chicken broth, canned soup, and 1 can water. Heat until boiling. Reduce heat and add cheese until melted. Season and serve.
