Ingredients
400 g | minced lamb |
4 tbsp | olive oil |
1 medium | onion, chopped |
2 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
1 tbsp | tomato puree |
½ tsp | cumin, ground |
½ tsp | coriander, ground |
¼ tsp | turmeric |
¼ tsp | chili powder |
¼ tsp | garam masala |
150 g | peas |
300 g | basmati rice, cooked |
2 tbsp | greek yogurt |
Instructions
Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a saucepan. Add the onion and garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add the minced lamb and continue cooking for 7-8 minutes.In a small bowl, combine the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil with the tomato purée and spices to form a thick paste.
Add the paste to the lamb and fry for another 30 seconds.
Add in the peas and mix well. Add the rice and stir until the mixture is heated through and thoroughly combined.
Serve warm with a dollop of yogurt on top.
