Ingredients

300 g soy beans, dried
100 ml honey
1  green onion, chopped
50 ml vinegar
¼ tsp basil
⅛ tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Cover soy beans with water in a bowl and let stand for at least 2 hours; drain.

Place soy beans in a large pot with 1.5 litre water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and leave to simmer, about 1.5 hours; drain.

In a bowl combine honey, vinegar, salt, basil, garlic powder and pepper. Pour over soybeans. Chill at least 4 hours before serving, stirring occasionally.
