Ingredients
1 ½ kg | pork roast |
4 tbsp | olive oil |
1 medium | onion, diced |
2 clove(s) | garlic, chopped |
450 ml | apple jucie |
60 ml | honey |
1 tbsp | dry oregano |
1 tsp | sage |
1 tsp | Dijon mustard |
1 tbsp | lemon juice |
1 tbsp | Worcestershire sauce |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
The glaze:Add 3 tablespoons of the olive oil, onions and garlic to saucepan and cook on high heat for 3 minutes. Add apple juice, honey, oregano and sage until glaze has the thickness of syrup. Add the Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt and black pepper to taste. Stir and remove from heat.Preheat oven to 180°C. Place a large sauté pan on stovetop. On high heat, add 1 tablespoon olive oil and sear pork on all sides for about 5 minutes.
Place in oven and roast about 45 minutes. Glaze pork 3 or 4 times during roasting process.
