Risotto with cheese recipe details
Ingredients
800 ml | chicken broth |
3 tbsp | butter |
1 medium | onion, chopped |
250 g | rice |
90 ml | white wine |
150 g | Parmesan cheese, grated |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Bring chicken broth to a slow, steady simmer.In a large heavy pan over medium heat, heat butter, and add onion. Sauté for 1 to 2 minutes or until soft but not browned. Add the white wine, stir, and leave on a simmer.
Add the rice to the pan and slowly add the chicken broth. Stir to mix well. You may want to add more broth during the cooking process to prevent the rice from sticking.
When rice is cooked, add the grated cheese and stir well. Season with salt and pepper and stir again well. Serve.
