Ingredients
1.2 kg | red currants |
120 ml | water |
580 g | sugar |
Instructions
Remove currants from stems and place them in water until boiling, 15 minutes. remove from heat and crush them, using a potato masher.
Place back on the heat and stir in sugar. Cook on a simmer, stirring often, for 20 minutes.
Remove from heat and skim off any foam.
Prepare jars and fill them with the jam. Process for 15 minutes in a boiling water bath.
