Potato mash with wild garlic recipe details
Ingredients
1 bunch(es) | wild garlic, finely chopped |
salt and pepper | |
nutmeg | |
1 kg | potatoes, floury variety, peeled and quartered |
200 ml | hot milk |
2 tbsp | butter |
Instructions
Boil the potatoes in salted water until done. Drain and mash them with a potato masher, adding the milk and butter. If too firm, add more milk. Fold in the chopped wild garlic and season to taste with salt, pepper and a little nutmeg.Served with a large bowl of green salad, this is a delicious vegetarian main dish. Goes also well as a side dish with fried fish or any meat.
