Ingredients
1 ¾ kg | plums |
For the dough: | |
300 g | flour |
3 tsp | baking powder |
125 g | curd cheese |
100 ml | skimmed milk |
100 ml | sunflower oil |
75 g | sugar |
1 tsp | vanilla extract |
1 tsp | grated lemon peel |
1 pinch(es) | salt |
For the Icing: | |
100 g | Amarettini biscuits, crumbled |
1 tsp | vanilla extract |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C.Wash, pat dry and pit the plums. Cut in, however don’t cut through.
Mix all ingredients for the dough and knead until smooth. On a floured surface knead again, then roll the dough out in a greased baking tray (30*40 cm). Layer the cake with the plums slightly overlapping, inner side up.
Crumble the biscuits and mix with the vanilla extract. Sprinkle on the cake. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes.
Transfer the cake on a wire rack and allow to cool completely, then serve with whipped cream, if desired.
