Plum butter recipe details
Ingredients
3 ½ kg | plums, halved and stones removed |
625 g | sugar |
1 tbsp | gingerbread spice mix |
200 g | chocolate flakes |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 150°C. Place the plums into a casserole dish and add the gingerbread spice mix and 100g of the sugar. Place for 3,5 hours into the oven. Add 75g of sugar after every 30 minutes, stirring thoroughly.Bake for 2,5 more hours or until thickened and homogeneous, stirring every 30 minutes. Add the chocolate flakes and stir until well combined.
Ladle the plum butter into sterilized jars and seal with screw caps.
