Peppermint creams recipe details
Ingredients
450 g | icing sugar, well sieved |
1 large can(s) | sweetened condensed milk, about 200g size |
½ tsp | peppermint essence |
¼ tsp | green food colouring |
75 g | plain chocolate, melted |
75 g | white chocolate, melted |
Instructions
Mix sugar into milk until smooth, add the essence and divide the mixture. Add the colouring to one half and mix in.Roll out both mixtures separately to about ¼-inch or 6mm thick and cut into shapes of your choice. 1½-inch, 4cm squares or circles are most common. Offcuts, if any, can be re-rolled while still moist. Allow the pieces to set on greaseproof paper dredged with icing sugar.
Once hard, dip into melted chocolate and allow the chocolate to set. Store in an airtight container.
