Orange jello salad recipe details
A light and fluffy summer dessert salad that is so good you will want to eat it first!
Ready in: 2 hours 35 mins
Ingredients
Serves: 10- 1 (6 ounce) box orange Jell-O(R) mix
- 1 (6 ounce) box vanilla pudding mix
- 1 (8 ounce) box tapioca (not instant)
- 2 cups water
- 1 (16 ounce) container Cool Whip(R)
- 1 (6 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 15 mins | Extra time: 2 hours, chilling1. Mix together Jell-O(R), pudding, tapioca and water in a saucepan with the water. Heat over medium heat until just starting to boil. Stir constantly!!
2. After the Jell-O(R) mixture has started to boil, remove from heat and transfer to a large bowl. Do not cover, but place in refrigerator for about 2 hours until chilled. Be patient.
3. After Jell-O(R) mix has chilled, stir mixture to loosen. Add Cool Whip(R) and gently fold in until totally incorporated and no streaks of whip are evident. If it isnt completely cool, do not add Cool Whip(R). Chill longer, as the warmer mix will make it more soup than fluff… trust me.
4. Add mandarin oranges to mixture and fold in. Enjoy!Substitution
You can change it up by using raspberry jello and raspberries or strawberries.
