If you have ever been to Nova Scotia you would have seen these sweet & spicy little wraps in every little pizza shop or corner store. This recipe is easy to make and sooo good to eat.

Ingredients
Serves: 12- 3 lbs. ground beef
- 3 tsp. fresh garlic
- 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp. white pepper
- 2 tsp. oregano
- 2 tsp. chicken soup base
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 2 tsp. onion powder
- Sauce:
- 1 can evaporated milk (carnation)
- 1.5 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup white vinegar.
- condiments:
- diced onions
- diced tomato.
- pita bread
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 1 hour 30 mins1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Mix meat with all spices. Knead together until well blended.
3. Place in oven for 1.5 hours. Let stand for 15 minutes then slice as thin as you can.
4. Prepare your sauce : mix milk and sugar together; once the sugar is dissolved add vinegar and stir; sauce will thicken when vinegar is added.
5. Steam or microwave your pita bread so it is soft, place it on a piece of foil wrap or heavy waxed paper,put 2 tbls. of sauce on bread,top with meat then diced onion & tomato,then 1 more tsp. of sauce. wrap with foil so that the sauce does not run out,, un-wrap from the top and enjoy…Happy Eating.
