Lemon & ginger fish fillet details
INGREDIENTS:Serves 2-3
2 slices white fish fillets
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp cracked black pepper
1 lemon juice
Salt for rubbing fish
For ginger sauce:
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp shredded ginger
3-4 cloves garlic, chopped
½ cube chicken stock
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
Pinch of salt
For garnishing:
Lemon slices
Spring onion steams
Method:
- Clean fish fillets. Rub fish with a little salt. Drain excess water if any.
- Season fish fillets with sesame oil, black pepper and lemon juice for 15 minutes.
- Steam over rapid boiling water for 10-15 minutes.
- While steaming, prepare sauce. Heat oil in a pan. Add shredded ginger and chopped garlic. Fry until fragrant. Add in the remaining ingredients of sauce and bring it to a boil. Set side.
- When fish is cooked, drizzle sauce over fish. Garnish with lemon slices and spring onion steams. Serve hot.
