Jewish apple cake recipe details
- Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2-1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup cooking oil
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Juice of 2 oranges, or 7 Tablespoons frozen orange juice
- 2-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 4 Granny Smith apples, sliced
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 5 Tablespoons sugar
Mix apples, cinnamon, and sugar in a bowl. Grease and flour angel food pan. Beat together remaining ingredients. Alternate layers of batter and apples in the pan, ending with apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 35 minutes.
