Jalapeno lime marinade recipe details
A Mexican marinade, perfect for anything you want to serve with cerveza. Inspired by Cameron Lanni’s “Easy Yet Complex Marinade”

Ingredients
Makes: 2 cups- 1 large jalapeno
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup red wine
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco(R) or Crystal(R))
- 2 limes, juiced
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 10 mins1. Slice jalapeno in half, seed it, then rub the steak (if using) on both sides with the cut pepper. Chop pepper finely.
2. Combine the chopped jalapeno and remaining ingredients in a large plastic resealable bag. Use to marinate meats and vegetables before grilling.Note
Recipe makes about 1 3/4 cups of marinade, enough for 3 1/2 pounds of steak.
