- Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 2 Tablespoons heavy cream
- 1-1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups Swiss cheese, shredded
- 3/4 cup chopped, frozen spinach, thawed and drained
- 1/2 cup cooked, crumbled bacon
- 4 eggs
- 1-1/3 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
- Salt and pepper
Crust: Cream butter and cream cheese well. Beat in cream and work in flour and salt to make dough. Chill slightly. Roll pastry 1/8 inch thick on well-floured cloth and place in quiche pan.
Filling: Place cheese, spinach, and bacon into crust. Blend eggs, cream, and spices in mixer and pour over mixture in crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Cool 10 to 20 minutes before serving.
