Honey cake recipe details
An original Honey Cake recipe passed down through generations of our family.

Ingredients
Serves: 20- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup dark honey
- 1 cup hot Earl Grey tea (made with 4 tea bags)
- 4 teaspoons canola oil
- 3 cups raisins, pecans, and cranberries
- 2 cups flour (or enough to make mixture feel like sour cream)
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 3 hours1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place wax paper in the baking dish.
2. In a bowl, break and separate 2 eggs. Add the canola oil, tea, baking soda, flour, and sugar; mix. Add honey and the fruit and nut mix. Mix until creamy. Pour into the baking dish.
3. Place in oven and bake for 1 hour. After one hour, reduce temperature to 300 degrees and bake for 2 more hours.
4. Take out of oven and cool for 1/2 hour.
