Ingredients
Makes: 2 dozen- 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup molasses
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 10 mins1. Preheat grill to 350 degrees.
2. In one mixing bowl, combine flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
3. In another mixing bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until fluffy. Add egg, water, and molasses. Then add the flour mixture. Shape into 1-inch balls and place on insulated baking sheet (press down slightly).
4. Bake with the grill lid closed for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on pan at least 5 minutes.Tip
These cookies won’t really brown on top, and that’s okay. They are done, they’ll continue setting after you take them off the heat. Don’t open the grill until the timer goes off.
