Grandma hartman's sugar cookies recipe details
- Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup thick milk
- 1/2 teaspoon of cream of tartar
- 4 cups flour
Mix first 3 ingredients. Dissolve baking soda in milk and add to mixture. Combine cream of tartar and flour. Gradually add flour, 1 cup at a time, to batter while mixing. Decorate as desired. Bake at 375 to 400 degrees for approximately 10 minutes.
Makes: 3 to 4 dozen cookies, depending on size.
