Garlic peppercorn sauce recipe details
Ingredients
6 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
1 tsp | olive oil |
2 tbsp | butter |
1 ½ tbsp | flour |
300 ml | milk or single cream |
½ tsp | salt |
1 tbsp | mixed peppercorns, ground |
1 pinch(es) | nutmeg, ground |
some | water |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 170°C.Place garlic in a small baking dish and add just enough water to cover the bottom of the dish. Drizzle the olive oil over the top of the garlic and cover with foil. Bake for 45 minutes.
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Combine flour and milk and mix well. Pour into the pan with the melted butter. Bring to a boil, and cook, stirring constantly until thickened, about 5 minutes.
Stir garlic into the sauce, and season with salt, peppercorns, and nutmeg.
