Fried Apples with Bacon recipe

- Ingredients:
- 4 large Granny Smith apples, cored and cut into 1/2 inch thick slices
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 pound bacon, chopped
Instructions:
Place apples in bowl. Add sugar, lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves. Toss to coat. Saute bacon in skillet over medium heat until crisp. Transfer bacon with slotted spoon to paper towels. Add apples to bacon drippings in skillet and saute until apples are tender, about 10 minutes. Transfer apples and juices in skillet to bowl. Sprinkle with bacon.
