French toast raphael recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 6 cups white bread, crust removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 6 ounces cream cheese, cut into small cubes
- 6 eggs, well beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/3 cup dark maple syrup
- lemon juice
Place half the bread in a greased 7 x 10-inch pan. Dot cheese on top. Cover with remaining bread. Combine the remaining ingredients (except cinnamon and lemon juice) and pour over all. Sprinkle cinnamon over top. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, remove the plastic and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 45 minutes. It will be puffy and golden.
Serve immediately with extra maple syrup and drizzle lemon juice over the top.
Serves: 4 hungry Bed and Breakfast guests.
