Flinnie's open faced subs recipe details
This is a great recipe for football parties, as its very easy to adjust to fit the party.

Ingredients
Serves: 12- 1 loaf French bread, unsliced
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 pound bulk sausage
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Preparation method
Prep: 25 mins | Cook: 25 mins1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
2. Cut bread in half lengthwise; carefully hollow out top and bottom of loaf, leaving a 1-inch shell. Cube removed bread. In a large bowl, beat the eggs, milk, pepper and salt. Add bread cubes and toss to coat.
3. In a skillet, cook sausage and onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink; drain. Add to the bread mixture. Spoon filling into bread shells; sprinkle with cheese. Wrap each with foil.
4. Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is melted, 20 to 25 minutes. Cut into serving-size slices.
