Dutch style apple fritters recipe details
Ingredients
175 g | self-raising flour |
5 | dessert apples, peeled, cored and cut into four thick rings |
175 ml | milk |
1 large | egg |
50 g | sugar |
1 tsp | ground cinnamon |
Instructions
Mix sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over apple slices.Make a batter from the flour, egg and milk, whisking to mix thoroughly and to break up any lumps.
Heat a deep fat fryer to 180°C.
Dip apple slices in batter and fry until golden brown, several at a time without overcrowding. Turn at least once to ensure even frying. Drain on kitchen paper and serve while hot.
