Dutch Style Apple Fritters recipe
|175 g||self-raising flour|
|5||dessert apples, peeled, cored and cut into four thick rings|
|1 tsp||ground cinnamon|
Mix sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over apple slices.
Make a batter from the flour, egg and milk, whisking to mix thoroughly and to break up any lumps.
Heat a deep fat fryer to 180°C.
Dip apple slices in batter and fry until golden brown, several at a time without overcrowding. Turn at least once to ensure even frying. Drain on kitchen paper and serve while hot.
