Cream cheese pound cake recipe details
Ingredients
90 g | unsalted butter, softened |
250 g | cream cheese |
350 g | sugar |
4 medium | eggs |
1 ½ tsp | vanilla extract |
250 g | plain flour |
1 ½ tsp | baking powder |
icing sugar, to dust | |
fresh fruit, to serve |
Instructions
Preheat oven to Gas Mark 4, 180°C, 350°F.Grease and flour a 10-inch tube or Bundt pan. Alternatively grease and flour an 8-inch cake tin.
In a large bowl, cream the butter, cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Add remaining ingredients until smooth.
Bake for 1 hour or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out cleanly. The top of the cake should be golden brown but will probably crack.
Cool for 10 minutes in the tin and then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Dust with icing sugar and serve with fresh berry fruits, sliced fruit etc.
