Dried fruits add some chewy sweetness to this dense quickbread flavored with a couple scoops of caraway seeds.

Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons caraway seeds
- 1 tablespoon black caraway seeds
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
Preparation method
Prep: 25 mins | Cook: 50 mins1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Add first 5 ingredients to food processor and pulse 3 times to sift.
3. Add next three ingredients and mix till it comes to a ball. Mix in seeds, raisins, and cranberries. Knead into a ball and place into a well greased pan. I like cast iron skillet 8-9 inches. Mark a cross on top and brush with more melted butter.
4. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 50 to 60 minutes.
