Corn Muffins recipe

1 cup corn meal
1 cup flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/4 cup melted shortening
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
liquid from can of corn plus enough milk to make 1 cup


Mix dry ingredients together. Beat eggs slightly, add milk and shortening. Combine dry ingredients stirring only until moist. Pour into well greased muffin pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
