Corn Bread Ole’ recipe

1-1/2 sticks butter
3/4 cup sugar
4 eggs
One 4-ounce can green chiles, chopped
One 16-ounce can creamed-style corn
1/2 cup each Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese
1 cup flour
1 cup corn meal
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt


Cream together butter, sugar and eggs. Add green chiles, corn and cheeses. Mix together and add flour, corn meal, baking powder, and salt. Pour into an 8 x 12 x 2-inch baking dish. Preheat oven to 350 degrees, but bake at 300 degrees for approximately 70 minutes.
