Cinnamon teacake recipe details
Ingredients
180 g | butter |
150 g | castor sugar |
1 tsp | vanilla extract |
2 medium | eggs |
230 g | flour |
2 tsp | cinnamon |
130 ml | milk |
For the Glaze: | |
1 tbsp | castor sugar |
1 tsp | cinnamon |
1 tsp | butter, melted |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 170°C and grease a 20cm round cake pan.Combine butter, sugar and vanilla together until creamy. Add eggs.
Sift flour and cinnamon together and add to egg mixture, alternately with milk. Spoon into pan and smooth surface. Bake for 60 minutes or until knife inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Cool in pan and then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
For the glaze mix together sugar, cinnamon and melted butter. Pour over warm cake and set aside to cool. Serve.
