Cinnamon Raisin Breakfast Custard recipe
- Ingredients
- 1 loaf of cinnamon raisin bread, cubed
- 9 eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2-1/2 cups milk
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9 x 13-inch pan with non-stick spray. Layer bread in pan. In large bowl, beat eggs, egg yolks, sugar, cream, and milk. Pour evenly over bread. Bake 1 hour or until custard is set. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired. Note:this dish can be assembled the night before.
